We’re a blog for irreverent educators.  You know – those of you who wouldn’t trade your teaching job for the world, but spend half your day thinking, “wait…really? No one ever told me this was part of the job description.”

Please direct all comments, questions,and/or requests for repeat documents of the homework you lost to:  whenpigssing@gmail.com.

Please note:  that’s “when pigs sing”, not “when pissing.”  Don’t you know how to close read, people?

Howdy from an irreverent retired educator. When doves cry, when pigs sing, it’s all the same to me.

I love your blog – it makes me laugh hysterically. That is why I am nominating you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! If you choose to accept, here is a link to my page with the instructions for acceptance:

I needed to find you earlier. I have been feeling very lonely lately-wondering if I was the only one trying to teach pigs to sing! LOL I am hooked on one post!

    Not on-after! Sorry!

    Life. Saver.
That is what you are to me right now. As a first year double-language teacher at a private school who feels like she has no idea what she is doing, I’m pretty sure this blog just restored my sanity. Or at least my faith in the rest of the language-teaching world.

  8. I’ve nominated your work for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award; to work out what on earth that means, go to http://mlewisredford.wordpress.com/2013/03/10/the-dragons-loyalty-award/ and become none the wiser; if you’d like to accept the award there are, as always, things you are obliged to do (but at least you get to wear a smart badge); if you don’t want to do those things I will sit in this corner of your blog, fold my arms and breathe little puffs of fume and smoke until you do

I’m honored. And lazy. But LOVE the image of you sitting in the corner of my blog sulking while breathing smoke. Go for it. We could use a little excitement ’round here.
